My Nom De Plume

I had the name "Makaila Rylee" because it was a name I found by accident and I really liked it. However, ever since I told friends and teachers I wanted to be a writer, they've told me "Elizabeth Jane" sounded like an author from the 1800's. After the last person told me this, I thought about it for a while and decided that I like it better!

My Writing

So far I have only had one thing published. When I was in 6th grade I submitted a poem for a contest. Well, only one other girl submitted one, and we both got our poems in the book. I never thought it was such a big deal, until I realized that it could be a step for me. Since then, I have been writing with no intent in publishing anything. However, I have been thinking about writing something that I really would like to publish, and hopefully one day I will feel that one will be "good enough." For now, it's just a fun hobby.
